Date Masamune had various haircuts during his lifetime. He reached fame as a talented samurai. However, the daimyo of the Sengoku period to early-Edo period; 1st lord of Sendai was especially known for his exceptional sense of fashion and his livable character. Before his tragic death at age 69 he was again and again in the spotlight of the press due to his marvelous hair and looks.
